(Baothanhhoa.vn) - During the National Day holiday on September 2nd, 2025, the traffic flow on the route from National Highway 1A connecting to National Highway 45, passing through Hoang Phu commune and leading to the North-South Expressway interchange, saw a sudden surge in people and vehicles. At the intersection on this route, members of the local security and order protection team in Hiep Thanh village, wearing their moss-green uniforms, actively assisted officers and soldiers of the Hoang Phu commune police in guiding and regulating traffic to ensure safety and order. Their enthusiasm and responsibility contributed to smooth traffic flow, ensuring that no collisions or traffic accidents occurred in the area during the holiday.

Established on July 1, 2024, under the management of the commune-level People's Committee and the direction and guidance of the commune police force, based on assigned functions and tasks, the Hiệp Thành village security and order protection team quickly affirmed its role as an "extended arm" in maintaining security and order. Currently, the team has 3 members of different ages but sharing enthusiasm, responsibility, and dedication to the local security and order protection movement. Mr. Nguyen Sy Hoi, head of the Hiệp Thành village security and order protection team, has 14 years of experience as a part-time police officer, possessing a thorough understanding of the area and extensive experience in ensuring security and order.

Mr. Hoi stated that Hiep Thanh is the central hamlet of the former Hoang Kim commune (now Hoang Phu commune), with over 300 households and nearly 1,000 inhabitants. The area is densely populated with houses close together and is located on National Highway 1A, with a bustling Gia market within the hamlet. Therefore, the security situation poses many potential risks such as petty theft, fighting, reckless driving, and even fires and explosions...

With assigned tasks and a high level of responsibility in supporting the commune police force in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, the Hiệp Thành village security and order protection team has contributed to making the fire prevention and fighting model of the neighborhood group effective. They even actively participated in preparing necessary equipment for training, participated in the "Fire Prevention and Fighting Neighborhood Group" competition, winning first prize at the district level and second prize in the practical competition at the provincial level. In addition, the team coordinated with the village Party committee to launch 7 "Public Fire Fighting Points" and mobilized 25 households to participate in the "Fire Prevention and Fighting Neighborhood Group" model, creating a strong fire prevention network right in the community.

In addition to fire prevention and control, the Hiep Thanh security team actively supports the commune police during peak periods in implementing plans to collect level 2 identity verification accounts, integrate health insurance cards into the VNeID application, and coordinate data cleaning for the people in the area.

In particular, in the context of increasingly high demands for ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, the security forces in Hiep Thanh village have become a core force, supporting the commune police in staying close to the people and the local area, understanding the situation of village life, and promptly reporting developments related to security and order. This proactive approach has given the commune police force more "eyes and ears," thereby effectively and promptly handling many issues arising at the grassroots level. Even during the recent floods caused by storms, the security forces in Hiep Thanh village, along with the commune police, did not shy away from hardship, assisting people in reinforcing their houses, moving property to safe places, and helping people overcome the consequences of the storms...

Only by witnessing their work firsthand and interacting with them can one fully appreciate the spirit and responsibility of these elderly men who enthusiastically participate in the local security and order protection team in Hiep Thanh village. For Mr. Nguyen Sy Hoi and the team members, continuing to contribute and participate in the local security and order protection force is a matter of dedication and responsibility to their village. He shared: "As long as we have our health, we want to contribute our small efforts to keep the village peaceful. Because when each village is peaceful, each home is warm and secure, and society will develop and become more civilized."

With the achievements made, in 2025, the security and order protection team of Hiep Thanh village was honored to receive a commendation from the Director of the Provincial Police Department on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People's Police and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for Protecting National Security. This is not only a well-deserved recognition but also proof of the effectiveness of promoting the strength of people's unity in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.
