(Baothanhhoa.vn) - On the occasion of the National Day holiday on September 2, 2025, the traffic route from National Highway 1A connecting with National Highway 45 through Hoang Phu commune to the North-South expressway interchange has a sudden increase in the volume of people and vehicles passing through. At the intersection on this route, members of the security and order protection team of Hiep Thanh village in moss green uniforms actively supported officers and soldiers of Hoang Phu commune police in guiding and regulating to ensure traffic order and safety. Their enthusiasm and responsibility have contributed to smooth traffic, smooth vehicle circulation, and no collisions or traffic accidents occurred in the area during the holidays.

Established on July 1, 2024, under the management of the People's Committee at the commune level, the direction and guidance of the commune police force based on the assigned functions and tasks, the Hiep Thanh village grassroots security and order protection team quickly affirmed its role as an "extended arm" in maintaining security and order. Currently, the team has 3 members of different ages but shares the same enthusiasm, responsibility and dedication to the local security and order protection movement. Mr. Nguyen Sy Hoi, the Hiep Thanh village grassroots security and order protection team, has worked as a part-time police officer for 14 years, is a person who understands the area well and has a lot of experience in ensuring security and order.

Mr. Hoi said that Hiep Thanh is the central village of the old Hoang Kim commune (now Hoang Phu commune), with more than 300 households and nearly 1,000 people, a large population, houses close together, and located on National Highway 1A, in the village there is a bustling Gia market. Therefore, the security situation has many potential risks such as petty theft, quarrels, weaving, even fires and explosions...

With the assigned tasks and high responsibility in supporting the communal police force to ensure security and order at the grassroots level, the Hiep Thanh village security and order protection team has contributed to bringing the model of inter-family fire prevention and fighting safety team (PCCC) to a clear effect, even actively participating in preparing necessary equipment for training, participating in the "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Team" contest and winning first prize at the previous district-level contest and second prize in the provincial-level practice contest. Along with that, the team coordinated with the village party committee to launch 7 "Public fire fighting points" and mobilized 25 households to participate in the "Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Team" model, creating a tight prevention posture right in the community.

Not only in fire prevention and fighting work, Hiep Thanh Security and Order Protection Team also actively supports the commune police during peak periods to implement plans to collect level 2 identification accounts, integrate health insurance cards into the VNeID application, and coordinate to clean data for local people.

In particular, in the context of increasing demands for security and order at the grassroots level, the force participating in security and order protection in Hiep Thanh village has become the core force, supporting the commune police to stay close to the people, stay close to the locality, grasp the situation of village life, and promptly report developments related to security and order. This initiative has helped the commune police force have more "eyes and ears", thereby effectively and promptly handling many problems arising right at the grassroots level. Even during the floods caused by the recent storms, the security and order protection force in Hiep Thanh village together with the commune police force did not hesitate to work hard, supporting and helping people to reinforce their houses, move their assets to safe places, and support people to overcome the consequences after the storms...

Only by witnessing their work and interacting with them can one fully appreciate the spirit and responsibility of the "old" men who are still enthusiastic about participating in the security and order protection team at the Hiep Thanh village base. For Mr. Nguyen Sy Hoi and the members of the team, continuing to contribute and participate in the security and order protection force at the base is a passion and responsibility for the village. He shared: "As long as we are healthy, we still want to contribute our small part to keep the village peaceful. Because when each village is peaceful, each house will be warm, and society will develop and become civilized."

With the achievements, in 2025, the Hiep Thanh village security and order protection team was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Provincial Police Director on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Security Day. This is not only a worthy recognition but also a testament to the effectiveness of promoting the strength of people's solidarity in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level.
