According to a preliminary report from Xuan Loc Power Company, thunderstorms during yesterday afternoon's rain caused partial power outages in the communes of Suoi Cao, Xuan Truong, Xuan Hiep, Suoi Cat, Lang Minh, Xuan Tam, and part of the Xuan Loc Industrial Zone. However, the unit's repair team quickly rectified the situation, preventing the power outage from lasting too long and affecting the daily lives, production, and businesses of the people.
In addition, this unit also noted some issues to ensure safety during the rainy season with lightning and thunderstorms, such as: when seeing a broken or fallen power line, do not approach it and try to prevent others from getting close, stand at a distance of more than 10m, and report it via hotline 19001006 or 19009000.
Never seek shelter under power lines during thunderstorms. Do not use power poles or guy wires to secure houses, shacks, or tie up livestock to prevent the poles from breaking or falling and to avoid electric shock due to leakage current. Do not lean on or climb power poles, guy wires, grounding wires, electricity meters, or other equipment on power lines to avoid electric shock due to leakage current.
Furthermore, people should not attempt to repair their household electrical systems themselves if they lack electrical knowledge, but should instead seek help from or report the issue to a qualified electrician. When the household electrical system is at risk of being flooded, the circuit breaker and fuses at the power source must be switched off immediately.
