On the afternoon of April 27th, in Hanoi , the OPlus group held a press conference to launch their revolutionary music project #VN1945.
#VN1945 is a music project that "revitalizes" revolutionary music, often called "red music," in a modern and positive direction. OPlus aims to convey the message that red music is not just a thing of the past, but also represents fervent patriotism, and any generation can feel proud and happy listening to it.
Through modern arrangements and vocal styles that convey the feelings of the next generation, OPlus hopes to contribute to preserving revolutionary music in a way that is accessible, fresh, and full of pride. Through this, OPlus hopes that #VN1945 will be a connecting thread between the generations born during the war, the post-war period, and today's Gen Z.
#VN1945 is a project with a starting point but no end point. The OPlus group will extend and expand this project as a mission to spread its message not only to the audience but also to young artists and cultural figures.
The project begins with seven songs, including five famous and familiar songs that have resonated with many generations of audiences: "The National Guard"; "The Sound of the Pestle on Soc Bom Bo"; "Love Song"; "In the Distant Island", and "The Song of Ho Chi Minh ".
In addition, there are two new songs composed by the OPlus group themselves: "The Lac Hong Warriors" and "You Are the Light." Among these seven songs, " The National Guard" is sung in a novel and impressive acapella style.

The connection of the #VN1945 project is not only through music, but even the project's visual identity is based on the idea of a postage stamp – once a symbol of communication lines, taking 1945 as the year of the successful August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, marking a milestone of independence and freedom for the country.
"With that idea in mind, the #VN1945 project was built by OPlus as a postal system across time, where each song is a 'historical package' carrying the nation's memories. When opening the album, the audience feels like they are opening a letter with a postmark from 1945 - a message from the past to the present," said singer Quang Minh, leader of OPlus.
At the project launch, Colonel Pham Van Tu, Director of the Military Radio and Television Center, shared: “Personally, I greatly appreciate the creativity of young artists. Revolutionary songs that have stood the test of time carry immense historical significance. The new arrangement style of the OPlus group creates a wonderful impact. The lyrics and meaning of the songs remain the same, but the way they are conveyed to the listener is fresh, creative, and very sophisticated, capturing the thoughts and emotions of the artist as they immerse themselves in each lyric.”

Beyond being performing artists, through this music project, OPlus aims to spread patriotism through community activities and cultural exchange events with historical significance. With their harmonious vocals and emotional performance style, the group has achieved great success with new versions of classic songs from various genres, especially revolutionary songs, contributing to preserving and reviving timeless musical values.
Starting the project with seven songs, OPlus will continue to expand it with more popular songs or new tracks; that's what makes this music project special.
