Let's keep Phu Quy Island green together.
On the ferry to Phu Quy Island, which usually departs at 7 am each day, there is a reminder: "Do not bring plastic waste to the island," to help keep the island litter-free and clean.
Many young people traveling to Phu Quy Island often remind each other, "Bring back only beautiful photos and leave nothing behind but footprints."
With 48 volunteer soldiers from Ho Chi Minh City participating in the summer program, they arrived on the island and left behind only volunteer projects, contributing to beautifying the island and supporting the local people and youth.
During the two-week campaign, the volunteers completed the "National Flag Road," displaying 200 flags along a tree-lined route. They also painted the coastal embankment, repaired charity houses for impoverished families, installed solar-powered streetlights, and built a library for students…

Volunteer soldiers are not afraid of rain or sunshine.
Nguyen Hoang Tho (35 years old), who works at Saigontourist Group, said that he had just returned from a company trip to Phu Quy Island not long before the summer volunteer campaign, but still decided to volunteer and return to Phu Quy because he loves the island's beauty.
Working as a receptionist at the Majestic Saigon Hotel, he and his teammates braved the sun and rain for two weeks on the island.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Head of the School Youth Committee (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union), commander of the summer volunteer campaign in Phu Quy island district - said that this year 48 volunteers from Ho Chi Minh City, including young people from companies, businesses and students from many universities, came to the island.
"Most of the soldiers are not used to the hot weather on the island during the dry season, while most activities are done outdoors. However, everyone is trying their best to complete the mission," Trung shared.
