On this journey, we decided to travel along the coastal road to feel the salty breeze and admire the stunning scenery of Vietnam, the S-shaped country with its 3,000km stretch along the East Sea.
From Hue , following National Highway 1A and then turning left onto National Highway 49B, our group arrived right at the edge of the sea. The road was small but quite beautiful and clean.
Along the way through Thuan An fishing village, with its rows of boats waiting to set sail, I was captivated by the baskets of dried fish and squid, the dark-skinned, weathered men with a rugged appearance, and the hardworking women mending fishing nets.
Nature has bestowed upon Central Vietnam a long and fertile coastline, but to make a living from the sea, fishermen have had to shed countless tears, sweat, and endure immense losses.
Heading south from Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa), turning left onto provincial road 702, the caravan sped along the coastal road of Vinh Hy Bay ( Ninh Thuan ), renowned as the most beautiful in Vietnam.
The colossal rock formations, sheer cliffs, and the distant azure sea, along with the endless stretches of white sand, evoke positive feelings about a rich and colorful life.
The city of Phan Rang - Thap Cham, where the sun is scorching and the wind is fierce, is also a memorable destination in Ninh Thuan, along with its burnt grasslands, Mui Dinh lighthouse, sheep pastures, vineyards laden with sweet grapes under the sun, and wind turbines standing proudly against the azure sky…
