Dedicated to the community
Responding to the call of the Fatherland, at the age of 18, Ms. Pham Thi Vinh (from Suoi Dau commune) volunteered to enlist in the army, becoming a soldier in the Ninh Hoa District Military Command (formerly). Later, she was sent for nursing training and worked at provincial infirmaries. As a military medic, Ms. Vinh quietly cared for and treated wounded and sick soldiers. Night shifts, gathering and distributing medicinal herbs, monitoring malaria symptoms in patients... these became unforgettable memories of her military life. She always treated patients like family, providing meticulous and dedicated care. Beyond treatment, she also talked to them, encouraged them, and helped alleviate their pain and maintain an optimistic spirit during their treatment at the infirmary. In June 1982, she was discharged from the army and returned to work as a nurse at a local agency. At that time, life was still difficult, and she and her husband worked while raising livestock and farming to support their family.
