Under the shade of an ancient pine tree, Nguyen Huyen Bang and Tong Tieu Dan, both 12th-grade students, discussed their schoolwork. The two friends became close in 10th grade, studying the B00 subject combination (mathematics, chemistry, biology). Bang wanted to apply to the chemistry education program at Da Lat University, while Dan aimed for the general medicine program at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Both had packed schedules from morning till night. Besides self-study, they also practiced for exams online.
"Dan is my motivation for studying, and also my idol. She's not only academically gifted but also incredibly hardworking and always thinks positively. She scores above 9 in math, chemistry, and biology, and she's also excellent in social science subjects. Whenever I feel tired or my motivation to study wanes, Dan always says, 'Try harder, go to school, don't be lazy anymore,' and that makes everything feel better," Bang said.

Another pair of high-achieving students at Duc Trong High School, admired by their friends, are Tran Tuan Kiet and Nguyen Ngoc Anh, both in class 12A2, who share a passion for computer science and artificial intelligence (AI). They take advantage of every free moment to focus on practicing exam questions.
Anh and Kiet's study schedule is quite well-organized, balancing school classes, online exam preparation, and self-study to consolidate knowledge.

Ngoc Anh is undecided about whether to put Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology or the University of Technology (Vietnam National University, Hanoi ) as her first choice. Meanwhile, Tuan Kiet has set his sights on the computer science program at the University of Engineering and Technology (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City).
