Meals of love

Twice a month, the Youth Union of Hoa Thanh Ward, Tay Ninh Province, with the support of donors, regularly organizes a meaningful activity. That is the Patient Support Program at Hoa Thanh Regional Medical Center.

Since 2023, the Patient Support Program has been implemented by the former Hoa Thanh Town Youth Union at the Hoa Thanh Town Medical Center (now the Hoa Thanh Regional Medical Center). After the merger with the province, the program has been continued by the Hoa Thanh Ward Youth Union. With support from philanthropists, union members and youths have prepared free meals for patients being treated here. In addition to the meals, there are also bottled drinks, cakes, and sometimes gifts such as soy sauce, instant noodles, cooking oil, etc.

Giving rice and gifts to patients' families

Young people personally handed out meals to patients or their relatives along with kind words, showing their concern for the patients. “The meals help us save some of the costs of treatment, this is very precious!” - Mr. Nguyen Tran Khai (residing in Truong Cuu quarter, Long Hoa ward) expressed.

The program not only supports the sick but also provides a training and development environment for union members and young people, helping them to love and live responsibly towards the community and society. Nguyen Quoc Anh - a member of the Hoa Thanh ward union, shared: "Participating in the support activities for the sick, I understand more about the sharing, love and responsibility of young people towards the community."

“Through the program, the Hoa Thanh Ward Youth Union hopes to educate local youth union members and youths on the spirit of volunteering to participate in community activities. At the same time, train them to have the spirit of "mutual love" and support those in difficult circumstances,” said Ms. Cao Hong Thao, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, in charge of the Hoa Thanh Ward Youth Union.

The Patient Support Program of the Hoa Thanh Ward Youth Union has written a beautiful story about the kindness of today's young generation. The ward's Youth Union also hopes to continue to receive the companionship and sharing from philanthropists in the coming time, so that this humanitarian program can be maintained sustainably, contributing to sharing the burden and giving more strength to those undergoing treatment./.
