(TNO) On December 25, Dak Nong General Hospital announced that it had just received and treated four cases of severe burns caused by a mini gas tank explosion.
The victims include: Nguyen Trong Ky (17 years old), Le Duc Hiep (18 years old), Dinh Minh Sang (17 years old, all 12th grade students at Truong Chinh High School, Dak Lap District, Dak Nong Province) and Huynh Thi Hoai Mo (16 years old, owner of a street vendor).
According to the victims, at around 9pm on December 24, Sang, Ky and Hiep invited each other to go out for Christmas. When they reached the road near Gia Nghia bridge, the group stopped their car and went to the side of the road to buy food from Hoai Mo, who was pushing a cart selling fried beef balls on the side of the road. While waiting, suddenly the mini gas cylinder from the cart exploded, injuring all four people, and all the glass of the cart was shattered and scattered.
Immediately after that, Sang called for help from some people to help catch a taxi to take all four people to the hospital. According to the doctors, the explosion caused Hiep and Mo to suffer 1-2 degree burns on their faces with an area of 19%, the entire face and hair were burned and peeled. Sang and Ky suffered multiple injuries, 9% burns on their faces, and are continuing to be monitored and treated.
It is known that the Mimi gas cylinder that Mo had just bought and exchanged at a dealer in Gia Nghia market exploded when she brought it home to use.
