(CLO) The interactive exhibition "Famous Battles, Talented Generals," organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, combines art and history, documentary information and modern journalistic technology... providing profound experiences for the public, especially the younger generation, contributing to the awakening of national pride.

The most concise representation of the essence of history.

The interactive exhibition "Famous Battles, Brilliant Generals," organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper, celebrates the glorious victories of the heroic Vietnamese People's Army and honors the brilliant generals of this "invincible" army.

According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Nhan Dan Newspaper has closely coordinated with the Institute of Military History to ensure that information about generals and typical battles is conveyed accurately and effectively.

Through visual maps, audio, and scientifically presented documents, visitors will have an interesting experience and easily grasp information about famous and pivotal battles such as the Viet Bac Campaign (1947), the Dien Bien Phu Campaign (1954), the Central Highlands Campaign (1975), the Ho Chi Minh Campaign (1975)...

In particular, the public will have the opportunity to admire a collection of portraits of 20 renowned generals of the Vietnam People's Army, created by artist Do Hoang Tuong using watercolor techniques on traditional paper. The works vividly depict the portraits of distinguished generals such as General Vo Nguyen Giap, General Nguyen Chi Thanh, General Le Trong Tan, General Hoang Van Thai, General Le Duc Anh, and others.

Speaking about the exhibition's implementation, Colonel Le Thanh Bai, Deputy Director of the Institute of Military History, said that the biggest challenge for the Institute and Nhan Dan Newspaper was selecting the most representative and outstanding battles and generals to vividly portray the glorious 80-year history of the Vietnam People's Army.

"We had to carefully select the most outstanding battles from tens of thousands of battles, and the generals who left a significant mark on the history of the Vietnam People's Army's development among millions of generations of soldiers," said Colonel Le Thanh Bai.

According to the Colonel, these battles may not have been large, but they possessed a new art of warfare, representing a step forward compared to other battles. Examples include the Battle of Phu Thong – a siege battle fought by our army; the Dien Bien Phu campaign – renowned throughout the world; and the Tet Offensive of 1968 – which defeated the aggressive will of the American imperialists.

Colonel Le Thanh Bai shared that the Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Director of the Military History Institute selected 20 generals – they are the embodiment of the finest qualities in the development of the Vietnam People's Army and in the cause of national defense. Among them are General Vo Nguyen Giap – the elder brother of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Nguyen Binh – Commander of the Dong Trieu war zone, whose leadership contributed greatly to the victory of the August 1945 Revolution in the Northeast Coast. In addition, he played a very significant role in the Southern armed forces, leaving his mark in the establishment of the Saigon Special Forces. Or the scientist General Professor Dr. Le Chi Trung – who rose from a battlefield nurse to become the head of the medical field – laying the foundation for organ transplantation in Vietnam.

According to Colonel Le Thanh Bai, after selecting the battles and generals, the next challenge is to concisely and succinctly present the most representative aspects in the exhibition using the most understandable language, conveying historical knowledge in an engaging way while still capturing the essence and core content of the events.
