The race for the women's volleyball championship is heating up.

As predicted by experts, the Jiangsu team has emerged as the top contender for the championship title.

After four days of intense competition at the Tay Ninh Sports Arena, the landscape of the VTV9 - Binh Dien International Women's Volleyball Tournament 2026 is becoming clearer, with all the strong contenders advancing to the next round with the goal of winning the cup.

As predicted by experts, the Jiangsu team emerged as a top contender for the championship title. The Chinese representative secured convincing victories against all three home teams – VTV Binh Dien Long An, the Information Corps - BD19, and VietinBank – to claim first place in Group A and advance to the semi-finals. Not only do they possess superior physique, but the Jiangsu team also boasts a modern playing style, solid defensive organization, and powerful attacks. A notable aspect of this team is their well-balanced lineup; they don't rely on any single individual but maintain consistent pressure throughout matches thanks to their seamless coordination and depth of squad. This makes them the biggest challenge for the Vietnamese teams in this year's tournament.

Meanwhile, VTV Binh Dien Long An showed the image of a team with great resilience. After a defeat against Jiangsu on the opening day, the host team quickly regained their form, successively overcoming VietinBank and the Information Corps - BD19, thus following the guest team Jiangsu into the semi-finals. Coach Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hoa's team is showing clear progress with each match. Thanh Thuy continues to play a leading role in the game, while Tra My, Nhu Anh, Lu Phuong, and especially foreign player Martinez Ortiz are playing better and better, exploding in both defense and attack to lead the host team into the top 4.

Unlike the explosive performance of VTV Binh Dien Long An, Hanoi Tasco Auto made its mark with a stable and highly organized style of play. The capital's representative played cohesively, controlled the game well, and demonstrated effective opportunism to secure an early spot in the semi-finals. The chemistry between setter Yen Nhi and outside hitter Vi Thi Nhu Quynh is becoming a crucial pillar in Hanoi Tasco Auto's gameplay. While they may not be the team with the most star players in the tournament, they possess a remarkable balance between offense and defense.

Gunma Green Wings have a strong chance of securing the remaining semi-final spot ahead of their final group stage match against Suwon City.
