Coach Phan Nhu Thuat shared with Thanh Nien Newspaper: "This season, SLNA's achievements have not been as expected, so I asked to resign. When another coach takes over, I hope SLNA's achievements and playing style will improve."

Coach Phan Nhu Thuat's decision was made one day after a 2-3 defeat to the HCM City Police Club. At Vinh Stadium, SLNA led 2-0 but played poorly and eventually lost. This was the "last straw" that led to coach Phan Nhu Thuat's resignation.
