Many agricultural products and specialties that have achieved OCOP stars such as teddy bears, fish, dried squid, dried shrimp, wax potatoes or dried mango in Cam Lam district (Khanh Hoa province) have recently become really attractive and consumed strongly, especially by tourists.

Mr. Do Minh Thanh - Vice Chairman of Cam Lam District People's Committee ( Khanh Hoa ) said that in recent years, the district has promoted propaganda, introduction, promotion and effective implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.

Accordingly, from 2023 to now, the district has had 32 products recognized as 3-star OCOP, focusing on the district's key products such as: Fresh mango, dried mango, mango cake, wax potato, durian, dried shrimp, dried squid, teddy bears,...

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long - Chairman of Cam Lam Gift Cooperative (Cam Hai Dong Commune, Cam Lam District) said that the cooperative was established with 7 members, operating in the field of production and trading of agricultural, forestry and fishery products. Mr. Long said that before achieving OCOP, customers, partners and people did not know much, so product consumption was limited. After the process of striving to improve designs, packaging, and improve the quality of products, consumption has increased, especially among tourists during the 2025 Tet holiday.

Up to now, the cooperative has recognized 3-star OCOP products such as: dried shrimp, dried squid, salted and chili-salted fish and in the near future, the unit will continue to consolidate the dossier to send to the authorities to recognize more OCOP products. The products launched on the market not only help increase the unit's revenue but also help people consume products more easily.

Mr. Le Xuan Thang - Vice Chairman of Cam Hai Dong Commune People's Committee said that local people live mainly on fishing and aquaculture and service industries in the North Cam Ranh Peninsula tourist area. Currently, in the commune, there are production models that bring stable income to people such as raising ducks on sand, aquaculture, raising white-leg shrimp in cement ponds, raising pigs, and raising fish. In particular, there are many seafood products certified as OCOP, attracting many tourists to consume.

Ms. Le Thi Thao Phan (representative of a business household in Cam An Bac commune) said that in recent times, she has developed woolen stuffed animal products with cute and eye-catching mascot shapes and colorful flower plants, thereby creating jobs for 16 workers with stable income. The unit's products have been recognized as achieving 3-star OCOP and are currently not only sold domestically but also exported abroad.

The products are now selling much better than before, the selling price ranges from 40,000 - 500,000 VND on the market, on average each month the unit produces 2,500 - 3,000 products of all kinds.
