After UNESCO recognized it as a World Cultural Heritage, the 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Festival will be organized by Hai Phong to raise the level.

On the morning of July 27, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong deployed preparations for the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival in 2025.

This year's festival takes place in a special context when the Con Son - Kiep Bac relic cluster has just been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac complex.

The 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival is also associated with important events: The 725th anniversary of the death of National Hero Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, the 583rd anniversary of the death of World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai.

It is expected that this year's festival will be held on a large scale, elevating both the ceremony and the festival to honor and promote the outstanding global values of the heritage, creating a widespread influence in the domestic and international communities.

The festival focuses on October 7, 2025 (August 16 of the lunar calendar), including a series of activities: The 583rd anniversary of the death of National Hero, World Cultural Celebrity Nguyen Trai at the Con Son relic site; The 2025 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival Commemoration Ceremony and the announcement of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes as a UNESCO World Heritage Site; The Tran Dynasty Seal Opening Ceremony, ending with a high-altitude fireworks display at the Kiep Bac relic site.

Guests attending the festival included UNESCO representatives, international ambassadors, leaders of the Party, State, central and local ministries and branches, and a large number of people and tourists from all over the world.

Along with that is a series of cultural and artistic activities from October 6 to 11 with the Military Assembly Performance on Luc Dau River, the Saint Performance Festival, the Peace Prayer Ceremony and the Lantern Festival; the procession, the sacrificial ceremony, the death anniversary of Saint Tran...

This year's festival has many new features, notably the live art program "Uy linh Kiep Bac - Con Son", the festival space expanded to Luc Dau River, applying lighting technology and virtual reality.

The Culture - Tourism - Trade Promotion Week lasting from October 7 to 11 is also an important highlight, promoting OCOP products, spiritual tourism and heritage.

The Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2025 is not only an occasion to pay tribute to our ancestors but also demonstrates our commitment to preserving and promoting the value of World Cultural Heritage in contemporary life.
