At the meeting, Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, proposed that the Government provide urgent support of 2 tons of dried food; 10 tons of Chloramine B; and 20 tons of Benkocid chemical to serve disinfection and sterilization work, ensuring environmental hygiene and preventing disease outbreaks after the floods.
At the same time, support included 2 tons of vegetable seeds, 5 tons of corn seeds; 50,000 doses of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine; and 2 million doses of avian influenza vaccine. Rescue and relief equipment included: 30 DT3 boats, 6 generators…
Mr. Phan Thien Dinh also requested the Prime Minister to provide 500 billion VND to restore essential infrastructure serving the people. In the long term, he proposed support for the urgent repair of transportation, irrigation, dike, and coastal embankment projects with a total budget of 1,000 billion VND.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha particularly emphasized the need to ensure uninterrupted communication, a key factor in directing, providing relief, and connecting support to people during the floods. Relevant agencies and telecommunications companies in Hue City need to urgently address any disruptions and ensure communication in areas isolated by flooding. For mountainous areas, special vigilance is needed regarding the risk of flash floods, landslides, and mudslides.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested that localities resolutely relocate people from dangerous areas, assess and promptly address high-risk areas. At the same time, they should proactively ensure the supply of food, drinking water, medicine, and transportation for people in deeply flooded areas. If there is a shortage, they should immediately propose assistance from the central government. He also emphasized that after the water recedes, functional forces and local authorities must urgently coordinate to overcome the consequences of the floods, ensure environmental sanitation, water sources, prevent disease outbreaks, and support the restoration of production.
