Landslide causes power outage in entire Phuoc Son area

DNO - On the afternoon of October 28, a landslide in Phuoc Hiep commune caused a pole of the 110kV Phuoc Son - Dak Mi 4B line and the 22kV line connecting the grid from Hiep Duc commune to Phuoc Son commune to fall, leading to a power outage in the entire communes of Kham Duc, Phuoc Nang, Phuoc Chanh, Phuoc Thanh and Phuoc Hiep.

According to Da Nang Electricity Company, currently, the sole 110kV line supplying power to the Phuoc Son 110kV transformer station and the backup 22kV line connecting to the Phuoc Son area's power grid are both severely damaged.

The leaders of Da Nang Electricity Company have sent specialized units to study the optimal and safest solution to approach the landslide site, quickly fix it and restore power to Phuoc Son area. However, access to the site is difficult because the traffic routes are being severely cut off by landslides.

Representatives of departments and specialized units of Da Nang Electricity Company and Hiep Duc Electricity Management Team met to discuss plans to overcome the power outage.

Mr. Vo Anh Hung, Deputy Director of Da Nang Electricity Company, proposed that the city leaders have a plan to prioritize traffic routes to support vehicles to access the site of the fallen pole as soon as possible to quickly overcome the damage, restore power, and stabilize the lives of people in the Phuoc Son area.

On the same afternoon, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Nam Hung informed about the power outage in Phuoc Son area due to landslides and collapsed power poles. The city is currently directing the electricity sector to make efforts to restore power to this area as soon as possible.
