
Accordingly, Mr. T.D.T. (born in 1968), residing in Tra Lien Tay village, Ai Tu commune, was found at approximately 3:30 PM on the same day, about 800 meters from the accident site, on the Thach Han River. Authorities are currently carrying out procedures to hand over the body to the family for burial according to local customs. Representatives from the commune leadership visited and offered condolences to the family of the deceased.
As reported by the Vietnam News Agency (TTXVN), at 9 PM on October 27th, Mr. T.D.T. went to the Thach Han River to collect scrap wood but did not return. He left in a small boat. In recent days, there has been heavy rain in the area, causing the Thach Han River to rise and flow rapidly.

According to the Quang Tri Provincial Civil Defense Command, heavy rains in recent days have caused flooding in approximately 663 households with 1,965 people throughout the province. Local authorities have relocated and evacuated 137 households with 385 people from vulnerable and dangerous areas. The floods have resulted in one person missing and serious damage to the transportation system.
Given the complex developments of the floods, units and localities have proactively deployed forces to guard vulnerable areas, installed barriers and warning signs at submerged locations, flooded areas, cut-off roads, landslide-prone areas, and dangerous zones.
