Hoi An is Asia's leading cultural city destination in 2025

ĐNO - Hoi An has just been honored in the category "Asia's Leading Cultural City Destination" at the World Travel Awards 2025.

Accordingly, Hoi An excelled over 6 other nominated cities in Asia to be honored in this category for the 5th consecutive year.

The World Travel Awards, established in 1993, is a prestigious award recognized worldwide and is considered the "Oscars of the tourism industry".

Hoi An ancient town was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage in 1999 based on two criteria: "Being an outstanding physical manifestation of the fusion of cultures through the ages in an international commercial port" and "Being a typical example of a perfectly preserved traditional Asian port".

In the ancient town of Hoi An, there are currently 1,439 relics, of which area I (now part of Hoi An ward) has 1,175 architectural and artistic relics of civil works, religious works and special works.
