Northern pig prices cool down after many increases
On the morning of December 8, the Northern market recorded a slight decrease when Phu Tho and Ninh Binh decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, bringing the pork price down to 60,000 VND/kg.
The general transaction price in the region fluctuates between 59,000 and 61,000 VND/kg. Lang Son, Dien Bien and Lai Chau are in the lowest price group at 59,000 VND/kg; the remaining localities maintain the range of 60,000 and 61,000 VND/kg.
Pig prices in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam fluctuate.
The Central Highlands region recorded fluctuations in both directions. In Thanh Hoa, pork prices decreased by VND1,000/kg to VND60,000/kg.
Meanwhile, Quang Tri and Quang Ngai continued to rise, reaching 59,000 VND/kg. Nghe An remained the locality with the highest price, remaining at 61,000 VND/kg.
The average transaction price in the region is currently fluctuating between 58,000-61,000 VND/kg.
Pig prices in the South maintain a slight upward trend
The Southern market continued to increase at some points this morning. Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City both increased by 1,000 VND/kg, reaching 61,000 VND/kg and 60,000 VND/kg respectively.
The Southern region is currently buying and selling pork prices in the range of 57,000-62,000 VND/kg, of which Dong Nai is holding the highest price.

Dong Nai reached a total herd of 3.67 million pigs in November.
According to the November 2025 socio-economic report, Dong Nai recorded a stable livestock situation. The total livestock herd reached 3.83 million, up 2.34% over the same period. Of which, the pig herd reached 3.67 million, equivalent to an increase of 2.41%. The number increased thanks to high consumer demand and maintained herd restoration activities.
The province's total poultry population also increased by nearly 2.9%, reaching 35.75 million. Vaccination work was fully implemented, helping the livestock industry expand its scale.
Meat Deli chilled pork price remains stable
At WinMart system on December 8, Meat Deli chilled pork price remained unchanged, continuing to maintain the level of 76,190-162,857 VND/kg. Baby ribs had the highest price, reaching 162,857 VND/kg, while pork fat was traded at 76,190 VND/kg.
Pork belly, shoulder, minced meat and thigh products maintain the same listed price as before.
Pork prices in Ha Hien have remained stable for many consecutive days.
This morning's survey shows that Ha Hien Fresh Food Company continues to maintain its price list in the range of 69,526-160,592 VND/kg.
Pork fat, shoulder, belly, ham, minced meat and thigh all maintain the same price as the previous day, no adjustment.
