Pig price in the North today (December 8): Highest at 61,000 VND
The North is the region that recorded the strongest increase in live pig prices in the country last week. According to a survey, the price of live pigs in the provinces and cities in this region increased by 6,000 - 8,000 VND/kg compared to the end of last week. Currently, the price of live pigs in the North is fluctuating from 59,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Of which, only Lang Son, Dien Bien and Lai Chau kept the transaction at 59,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region. In the remaining provinces in the region, live pigs were bought and sold at 60,000 VND/kg and 61,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in Central Highlands: Stable
The price of pigs in the Central Highlands region this morning remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of live pigs in this region fluctuates at 58,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An both maintained prices, reaching the highest level in the region at 61,000 VND/kg.
Places like Ha Tinh and Lam Dong reached 59,000 VND/kg. Quang Tri, Hue, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa all reached 58,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, the two localities of Da Nang and Quang Ngai both kept the old purchase price at 58,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the South: High
The Southern live hog market today also recorded no fluctuations in most localities. The price of live hogs in the South fluctuated at 57,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh have the highest pork price in the region at 60,000 VND/kg. Vinh Long and Dong Thap have pork price at 58,000 VND/kg.
An Giang, Can Tho and Ca Mau have pork prices this morning unchanged compared to yesterday, all reaching 57,000 VND/kg.
With the market developments last week, experts predict that pig prices will continue to rise this week due to the ongoing epidemic in many localities, along with the impact of recent floods and rains, causing a decrease in supply.
