The price of live pigs nationwide today, December 5, recorded a slight increase in some localities, especially in the Northern region. The highest price nationwide reached 61,000 VND/kg, while the market in the Central and Central Highlands remained stable. Currently, the price of live pigs is fluctuating between 56,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.
Northern market continues to lead
In the North, the price of live pigs continued to increase slightly and maintained its leading position in the country, fluctuating between 58,000 and 61,000 VND/kg. Specifically, Thai Nguyen and Hung Yen provinces both increased by 1,000 VND/kg, reaching 61,000 VND/kg. Ninh Binh province also adjusted the price up to 60,000 VND/kg, while Lao Cai and Dien Bien both increased to 59,000 VND/kg.
Other localities maintained stable prices compared to yesterday. The price of 60,000 VND/kg was recorded in Bac Ninh, Hanoi , Hai Phong and Phu Tho. The provinces of Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh and Son La maintained the price at 59,000 VND/kg.
Central and Central Highlands go sideways
In contrast to the upward trend in the North, the live hog market in the Central and Central Highlands regions this morning did not record any new fluctuations. After many consecutive increases, prices in this region are slowing down, trading in the range of 57,000 - 59,000 VND/kg.
The highest price in the region is 59,000 VND/kg, maintained in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An. The provinces of Ha Tinh, Da Nang , Quang Ngai and Lam Dong maintain the price at 58,000 VND/kg. The lowest price in the region is 57,000 VND/kg, recorded in the provinces of Quang Tri, Hue, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa.
Local price increase in the South
In the South, the price of live pigs increased by 1,000 VND/kg in some localities. Specifically, Dong Thap increased to 57,000 VND/kg and An Giang to 56,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces and cities kept the same price as the previous session, with a general fluctuation range of 56,000 - 58,000 VND/kg.
The highest price in the region is 58,000 VND/kg, continuing to be recorded in Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, Ca Mau, Vinh Long and Can Tho provinces maintained the price at 56,000 VND/kg.
