Propagating and updating environmental laws for businesses

On the morning of December 5, in Tan Ninh ward, the Tay Ninh Provincial Economic Zone Management Board coordinated with the Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment to organize a conference to disseminate and update legal regulations and national technical standards on the environment in industrial parks (IPs) and economic zones (EZs) in 2025 for IP infrastructure business units and more than 150 enterprises with large sources of waste in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Head of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board Le Thanh Kiet said that after the merger, Tay Ninh province has 3 economic zones, with a total area of ​​over 68,000 hectares, with 4 international border gates and 1 main border gate, along with 48 industrial parks with a total area of ​​over 14,826 hectares.

The conference aims to guide, update and systematize legal regulations, helping businesses properly implement current legal regulations on environmental protection; exchange and share difficulties and problems and propose feasible solutions, promote the successful implementation of the ecological industrial park model, towards a green economy, circular economy and sustainable development.

Dr. Le Xuan Thinh - Director of Vietnam Cleaner Production Center Company Limited (VNCPC) presented the content of the criteria framework and certification process of ecological industrial parks.

At the conference, delegates were presented with many important contents by experts from the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment; Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Vietnam Cleaner Production Center Co., Ltd. such as updating new regulations and standards on environmental protection in 2025; criteria framework and certification process for eco-industrial parks according to Decree 35/2022/ND-CP and Circular 05/2025/TT-BKHĐT; referring to typical models; research results and implementation of eco-industrial parks in Vietnam; assessing opportunities for water circulation and industrial symbiosis at Phuoc Dong Industrial Park.

The conference also provided time for the Organizing Committee to discuss and answer questions from businesses regarding the application of new regulations in environmental protection./.
