Prioritizing investment in 41 programs and projects to develop border trade

In the 2026-2030 period, border units and localities in Tay Ninh province will focus on implementing many programs and tasks to develop border trade associated with ensuring national defense and security.

Tay Ninh province aims to make border trade a driving force for socio-economic development by 2030; striving to make Tay Ninh a transit point for import and export goods of the Southern Key Economic Zone to the markets of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and ASEAN.

By 2050, the border economic zone will become a dynamic economic zone in terms of industrial, commercial, service, agricultural and border gate economic development towards balanced and sustainable development. The total value of imported and exported goods through border gates in the province will increase by an average of 7.5% per year or more.

In the 2026-2030 period, Tay Ninh will develop a list of 41 priority programs and projects, focusing on the following areas: Border gate infrastructure development, industry - trade - services in border areas, development of connecting traffic infrastructure, etc.

Among them, there are some typical projects such as: Investment in construction of border gates, border gate infrastructure at Vac Sa, Vam Trang Trau, Long Phuoc, Tong Le Chan border gates; investment in technical infrastructure of My Quy Tay Industrial Cluster project (My Quy commune), Thanh Long Industrial Cluster (Ninh Dien commune); construction of model border markets at Tan Nam border gate area (Tan Bien commune) and Long Phuoc border gate (Long Chu commune); upgrading and expanding existing provincial roads (DT) such as DT.817, DT.818, DT.819, DT.820, DT.831, DT.831B, DT.831C, ... and large-capacity bridges.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province assigned specific tasks to each department, branch, and locality in charge of implementing the above programs and projects; required border units and localities to regularly propagate the main goals, orientations, programs, and priority investment projects.

At the same time, develop plans and implement programs, arrange priority investment projects; improve the effectiveness of border area management, focus on developing border economic areas associated with protecting territorial sovereignty and border security./.
