In addition to the good implementation of all policies and laws of the State, the pioneering role of prestigious people in the community has become a positive factor, contributing to strengthening trust and promoting sustainable development in this land.
Ea M'Droh commune was established on the basis of merging all 3 communes: Quang Hiep, Ea M'Droh and the old Ea M'nang. After the merger, there are 23 ethnic groups living together in the commune, of which ethnic minorities account for nearly 37%.
Support programs of the Party and the State, such as the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction and the Program for Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority Areas, are creating remarkable changes in Ea M'Droh. However, differences in culture, language and farming practices remain major barriers, making the dissemination of policies, laws or the application of new science and technology difficult.
In that special context, for economic development policies and laws to truly come into life and reach the people, a special "bridge" is required. With 19 prestigious people, Ea M'Droh commune has found an effective "extended arm" of the Party and the State, playing a key role in mobilizing people to develop the economy and strictly comply with the law.

In Hiep Thanh Village, the leading role of Mr. Nong Van Chung (Nung ethnic group) - one of the prestigious people in the community - has been clearly realized. Mr. Chung does not mind the difficulties, always closely accompanies the Village Self-Management Board to grasp the situation of each household. It is this closeness that has helped him effectively mobilize people to convert crops appropriately, suitable to soil conditions; apply advanced techniques to cultivation and livestock farming.
Thanks to that, economic development policies and strategies have quickly turned into effective business models right in Hiep Thanh village.
Currently, the whole village has 281 households, of which ethnic minorities account for more than 82%, mainly Tay and Nung ethnic groups... If in the past, people's lives only depended on pruning corn on the fields and growing cashews, now people know how to grow coffee, pepper, durian and raise livestock to increase income.

The family of Mr. Ha Van Thien (Nung ethnic group) is a typical example of this successful transformation. Originally a household that only grew coffee with an unstable income, more than 5 years ago, thanks to the encouragement and close guidance of the government and directly from the prestigious person Nong Van Chung in the village, Mr. Thien boldly changed his mindset and invested in barns to raise goats.
By diligently researching and applying new techniques to livestock farming, along with taking advantage of available local food sources, Mr. Thien's family's goat herd has grown remarkably. At its peak, his family maintained a herd of more than 70 goats, bringing in a good and stable source of income, helping the family escape poverty sustainably.
Not only stopping at livestock, to optimize land area and diversify income sources, Mr. Thien also grows passion fruit. The flexible combination of coffee and passion fruit growing model and goat raising not only helps Mr. Thien's family significantly increase income, but also becomes a model for people in the village to learn and follow, creating a strong driving force for the general economic development movement of Hiep Thanh village.

Not only being the "locomotive" in the economic development movement, prestigious people in Ea M'Droh commune also shoulder an equally important mission: propagating and disseminating the legal policies of the Party and State.
In village 6, where more than 73% of the population are Dao, Tay, and Nung people, the propaganda and enforcement of the law is even more challenging. With a deep understanding of community psychology, Mr. Tang Tang San (Dao ethnic group) - a prestigious person has communicated the state's legal policies in an easy-to-understand, simple way, closely linked to the practical interests of the people. He is also the person who resolves small conflicts arising in the community, mobilizes young people not to listen to bad people's instigation, and resolutely eliminates social evils.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Ea M'Droh Commune, said that thanks to the voices of prestigious people, the policies of the Party and State are spread and deeply absorbed, helping people to confidently develop the economy, stabilize their lives and join hands to build villages and hamlets.
