Successfully organized the 1st Dong Da Ward Trade Union Congress

HNP - With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", on the afternoon of October 28, Dong Da ward successfully organized the 1st Ward Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, with the participation of 125 official delegates. Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Chairwoman of Dong Da Ward Trade Union Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh said: In the ward, there are 87 grassroots trade unions with more than 6,000 union members spread across many fields from education, health, state-owned enterprises, to private enterprises. This is a great social resource, a pioneering force contributing to the completion of socio -economic development goals, maintaining security and order, and building cultural life at the grassroots level.

Immediately after its establishment, the Ward Union quickly stabilized its organization, proactively coordinated closely with the government, the Fatherland Front and other organizations, and implemented many practical activities to care for the lives of union members and workers, clearly demonstrating the role of the union in "creating - serving - innovating", with the motto of "taking union members as the center", considering worker satisfaction as a measure of success...

With the motto of action: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", for the 2025-2030 term, the Ward Trade Union sets out 3 breakthroughs, 10 targets, 8 key tasks and a system of specific solutions; strives for the entire term, 85% of enterprises and units with trade union organizations to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements according to the provisions of law; every year, the Ward Trade Union has at least 2-3 typical projects or tasks; strives for 100% of ward trade union officials to proficiently apply artificial intelligence applications and software to perform and solve work...

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung especially emphasized the five key tasks that the Dong Da Ward Trade Union needs to resolutely implement in the new term.

In particular, it is recommended that the Ward Trade Union should soon develop an action program to implement the Congress Resolution, focusing on performing well the representative function, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members; at the same time, it is necessary to focus on training and fostering union officials with strong political will, good understanding of the law, and at the same time, renewing administrative thinking to service thinking and applying digital transformation to management.

Regarding technology, comrade Nguyen Xuan Hung suggested that the Ward Union take the lead and resolutely implement digital transformation in all activities to improve management, operation and interaction efficiency, promptly grasp and reflect the thoughts and aspirations of union members through digital platforms. Regarding movements, it is necessary to improve the quality and effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements "Good worker - Creative worker", "Good at public work - Good at housework"... associated with the goal of developing a green economy, building urban areas, focusing on timely and fair rewards.

At the same time, the Trade Union must improve the effectiveness of the People's Inspectorate and resolutely carry out supervision and social criticism on urgent and practical issues of workers...

On behalf of the leaders of Dong Da ward, Party Secretary and Chairman of Dong Da ward People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Viet acknowledged and commended the proactive and serious spirit of the ward's Trade Union Executive Committee and outstanding collectives and individuals who have made many contributions in the past time.

He emphasized that in the new context with many challenges, Dong Da Ward Trade Union needs to adapt flexibly and innovate strongly to improve its capacity to represent, criticize and care for workers.

Trade unions must first promote the effectiveness of three pillars throughout all activities: representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; participating in state management and socio-economic management; and propagating and building a strong working class and trade union organization.

In addition, it is necessary to pay attention to building and nurturing a team of union cadres with strong political will, skills, expertise, dedication and vision, who are truly "leaders of workers", dare to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members, and at the same time, actively participate in Party and government building.

At the Congress, the Executive Committee of Dong Da Ward Trade Union, Term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 9 comrades, introduced themselves to the Congress. Comrade Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh is the President of Dong Da Ward Trade Union, Term I.

Within the framework of the Congress, Dong Da Ward Trade Union launched the "Tay Son - Dong Da Award", to honor outstanding individuals in emulation movements of good workers and creative workers, for the sustainable development of the unit and the community.
