Actively participate in the movement

Ms. My Cu has been involved in women's work since 2006 as Vice President of the Women's Union of Lien Sang Commune (old), and in 2016 she held the position of President of the Union. After the merger, she became a specialist of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Khanh Vinh Commune and is an active member of local women's movements. Ms. My Cu shared: "Born and raised in the Raglai community, I understand the difficulties of women here. Many women are still shy, self-conscious, and not bold enough to participate in social activities. That urged me to think of appropriate ways to help women raise their awareness, be more confident in life, boldly develop the economy and actively participate in movements."

Ms. Cao Thi My Cu actively works in production to improve her life.

To do that, she regularly visits homes to meet, talk, and encourage women to participate in association activities; share experiences in production, animal husbandry, and cultivation; and help and support each other in difficult times. She promotes propaganda among local women to implement the movement "Building dynamic, creative, aspiring Khanh Hoa women" and the movement "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", associated with the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas; mobilizing everyone to join hands to protect the environment, maintain national security and take good care of the family and raise children. At the same time, she carries out propaganda activities on preventing and combating domestic violence, early marriage and incestuous marriage... to change the "thinking and way of doing" of ethnic minorities. In recent years, she has also mobilized 89 households to donate land to build roads to production areas and rural roads with a total length of 4,500m; Donated and helped families with deceased members with a total amount of more than 134 million VND and nearly 2 tons of rice; mobilized donors to donate thousands of gifts to people and students in the commune...

Support women in economic development

In addition to her time working at the office, Ms. My Cu also grows crops, raises livestock, and develops the family economy. To set an example for members and women in the commune, she actively works in production, planting 5 hectares of acacia, 2 hectares of cassava, some fruit trees with her husband, and raising pigs, chickens, and fish to increase income. After deducting expenses, each year, the family earns more than 200 million VND from various sources, helping the family live a stable life and have the conditions to take care of two children's education.

Not only taking care of family economic development, Ms. My Cu also proactively guides women in the commune to take advantage of support capital sources, learn how to do business, spend reasonably and develop production together. With the goal of "Each member family raises 1 child, plants 1 tree", she encourages women to exploit the advantages of local land and climate to raise livestock and grow crops effectively. At the same time, she raises economical piggy banks, deploys the "Green House" model and uses the collected funds to give trees and seedlings to women in difficult circumstances, helping them to stabilize their lives. Ms. My Cu also mobilizes women to help each other with interest-free capital with a total amount of 97.5 million VND; supports 5,368 labor exchanges; maintains 2 revolving capital contribution groups with a total amount of more than 101 million VND, helping 45 women develop the economy; coordinates and mobilizes 55 women to participate in training on science and technology transfer; supported 40 women to learn sewing and cooking; introduced 124 women to work in companies, factories, restaurants, eateries... When seeing the women have more income and their children go to school, Ms. My Cu feels happy and has more motivation to continue trying.

With her contributions, Ms. My Cu received many awards from all levels. In October 2025, she was awarded a certificate of merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for her outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020 - 2025. Ms. Le Thi Thu Ha - Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Khanh Vinh commune, President of the Commune Women's Union said: "Ms. Cao Thi My Cu is an active and enthusiastic member of the local women's movement. Not only is she an exemplary leader in production labor, actively sharing experiences, helping members and women in economic development, Ms. My Cu also actively participates in patriotic emulation movements of the union and the locality.
