Walking along central streets such as Nguyen Ai Quoc, Pham Van Thuan, Dong Khoi..., one can easily see the vibrant and somewhat "ghostly" colors of the Halloween season. From coffee shops, gift shops, shopping malls to every small street corner, they all wear the typical black and orange coat.

Ms. Bui Hai Linh (Trang Dai ward) shared: “Every year, Halloween has a new theme so I am very excited to prepare. This year, I chose to dress up as a character from the movie Wednesday so I had to “hunt for costumes” from the beginning of the month. I like the Halloween atmosphere because everywhere I go I see people investing in costumes and decorating their shops in eye-catching ways.”

Costume accessory stores on busy streets or online shops in the province are all "sold out" with masks, capes, wigs, and artistic face paint. Prices range from 50,000 VND for a mini mask, to 300,000-500,000 VND for elaborate cosplay costumes. Some young people also choose to rent costumes at photo studios, with prices ranging from 150,000-300,000 VND/set, to save costs but still ensure a "unique" image.
Many handmade shops in Trang Dai and Tam Hiep wards have launched environmentally friendly decorative products: paper pumpkins, recycled wood models, and energy-saving LED lights.
Meanwhile, bakeries, restaurants and beverage brands are taking advantage of the opportunity to make their mark with Halloween combos: skull-shaped cookies, cold smoke-effect drinks, or mini gifts with stickers. This approach not only helps increase revenue, but also enhances the consumer experience.
Although Halloween originated from the West, when introduced to Vietnam, especially in dynamic cities like Dong Nai , this festival is being "localized" in a soft way. Dong Nai youth not only copy the form, but also create their own style. Many student groups organize Halloween nights to raise charity funds for poor children, or design costume games related to the theme of environmental protection.
