Lai Chau: Awarding Ceremony of the Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in 2025

Comrade Sung A Ho - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded prizes to the collectives.

The ceremony was held directly at the provincial bridge and connected online to 37 bridge points of the Party Committees of communes and wards with 665 delegates attending. Attending the award ceremony at the provincial bridge were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; representatives of the leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; representatives of the leaders of the provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of the leaders of ideological and cultural agencies, the Provincial Journalists Association, the Provincial Political School, Lai Chau College; members of the Organizing Committee, the Jury, the Contest Secretariat; representatives of leaders and experts of a number of agencies and units; authors, groups of authors winning prizes and rewarded collectives...

Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee 35 issued Plan No. 09-KH/BCĐ, dated March 24, 2025 on organizing the 2025 Political Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation in the province at the provincial level. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department (Standing Agency of the Provincial Steering Committee 35) issued documents directing and implementing the Contest; strengthening the direction and orientation of propaganda work, guiding the implementation of the Contest; advising, directing, urging and implementing the Contest to ensure progress according to the Plan.

The Party Committees directly under the province have seriously implemented the direction of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Steering Committee of 35 provinces; 13/13 Party Committees directly under the province issued documents to deploy the Contest at their level; closely following the guidance of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, specifying the contents to implement the Contest in localities and units, ensuring practicality and suitability to practical conditions.

Comrade Giang A Tinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the A prize to the representative of the group of authors who won the prize.

After 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee of the Contest received 423 entries from authors and groups of authors from many social sectors and occupations selected from affiliated Party Committees. Of which, 98 are printed newspaper works; 63 are electronic newspaper works; 225 are magazine works; 11 are radio works; 18 are television works; 8 are video clips. Some localities and units have many participating works such as: Party Committees of Provincial Party Agencies, Party Committee of Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Police... In particular, some grassroots Party organizations actively implemented the Contest and spread it widely among cadres and Party members...

The entries to the Contest have demonstrated diversity and richness in themes and approaches. The group of themes on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the context of international integration accounts for 28% with 118 works; the group of themes on fighting against wrong views in cyberspace accounts for 22% with 94 works; the group of themes on the role of ethnic minorities in border areas in protecting national sovereignty accounts for 35% with 147 works; the group of themes on building culture and politics in the digital age accounts for 15% with 64 works...

Many entries were invested in both intelligence and effort; closely following the theme of the Contest, especially the group of themes on the new guiding ideology of the Party and General Secretary To Lam, the Resolutions are the "four pillars" of national development in the new era - the era of national growth... Some works have demonstrated sharpness in theory, expressed timeliness, new discoveries in implementing the task of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints...

The works participating in the Contest have innovated in form and presentation techniques compared to previous years. The application of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in supporting composition has helped improve the quality of form, language and structure of many works, making the works have beautiful forms of expression, attracting the attention of readers.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, representatives of leaders of a number of agencies and units shared good, creative and effective practices among cadres, party members and people during the participation in the Contest. Thereby, they contributed to the success of the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, Comrade Sung A Ho - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the Steering Committee of 35 provinces, agencies, units and localities for their coordination in preparing and successfully organizing the 2025 Political Contest; congratulated 12 authors, groups of authors and 10 excellent collectives who achieved high prizes and were awarded the Prize.

He suggested that Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units and localities continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee and the Provincial Party Committee on ideological and theoretical work, especially Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation. Innovate the content and diversify the forms of propaganda to make each cadre, Party member and People grasp and understand the meaning and value of protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Link the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation with the implementation of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee on building and rectifying the Party and the political system; studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, and leading the implementation of the province's political tasks. Focus on consolidating and perfecting the core force participating in protecting the Party's ideological foundation with solid political will and professional skills, promptly handling situations that arise, especially in cyberspace. Further improve the quality and effectiveness of the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the coming years.

At the Award Ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 12 works to authors and groups of authors. Including: 1 A prize, 2 B prizes, 3 C prizes, 6 Encouragement prizes. 10 prizes were awarded to 10 collectives which are units and localities with achievements in advising on organizing the Contest including: 1 First prize, 1 Second prize, 2 Third prizes and 6 Encouragement prizes.
