Tuyen Quang: Urgent search for 4 missing people in landslide in Lung Cu commune

On the afternoon of September 30, Tuyen Quang Provincial Police informed that search and rescue forces and local police of Tuyen Quang province were searching in the rain for 4 people missing in a landslide in Lung Cu commune.

Previously, at around 6:30 a.m. the same day, heavy rains after storm No. 10 caused a landslide on a part of the mountainside, a large amount of rock, soil and mud poured down onto the residential area, causing a serious landslide, burying the entire house of Mr. Vang Cha So, Ma Lau A village, leaving 4 people in the family (including Mr. So born in 1982, his wife born in 1980 and two children born in 2023, 2004) missing.

Immediately after the incident, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, the Mobile Police Department of Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, and Lung Cu Commune Police mobilized officers and soldiers to the scene to search for missing people and evacuate households in areas at risk of landslides to safety.

Currently, rescue forces are urgently searching for missing people at the scene, despite heavy rain, continued landslides, and the potential risk of new flash floods.
