The children's play "The Magic Brush" (written by Huynh Ngan, directed by Huynh Nhu) tells the story of Ma Liang, a kind and honest boy who is given a "magic brush" by a fairy, capable of drawing anything he wants. A wealthy landowner hears the story and plots to trick him into drawing mountains of gold and seas of silver. However, the landowner's greed is soon discovered. A chance encounter with a stranger allows Ha to swap appearances and become beautiful, leading her into countless hilarious and awkward situations.
