People's Artist Thai Manh Hien's family said he passed away at 8:20 a.m. on June 22, at the age of 92.
His real name is Thai Van Hien. In the Vietnamese circus world, People's Artist Thai Manh Hien is considered a "big tree".

He was born in 1932 in Hai Phong . In 1947, when he was only 15 years old, he applied to join the circus troupe "Vu Dai Thu Do Anh Dung". In 1956, this circus troupe changed its name to the Central People's Circus, now the Vietnam Circus Federation.
In the last years of his life, People's Artist Thai Manh Hien was still full of enthusiasm for circus arts. He summarized many circus performance experiences and created teaching plans to guide generations of circus artists in their career.
Not only guiding his two children to follow his career, People's Artist Thai Manh Hien also cherishes many human resource training projects. His wish is that the younger generation will have many conditions to learn the quintessence from their fathers and absorb new values from international friends.

His passing has left many circus artists nationwide in mourning. In September 2020, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper visited him and presented him with a gift from the program "Mai Vang Nhan Ai" (now "Mai Vang Tri An").
The funeral of People's Artist Thai Manh Hien will be held at the Southern National Funeral Home (5 Pham Ngu Lao, Ward 3, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City). A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on June 25, followed by burial at Phuc An Vien Cemetery Park - Thu Duc City.
