People's Artist Thanh Lam shared the good news that her album "The Film" - a heartfelt music project she and composer Nguyen Vinh Tien - has just won the Vietnam Music Award 2025, presented by the Vietnam Musicians Association.

This is a moment for Thanh Lam to quietly reflect on the path she has traveled, with its explorations, reflections, and instances where she dared to go slower, deeper, and more honestly with herself.

"The album doesn't aim to tell a grand story, but rather to capture small fragments of emotion, the fragile moments of silence in life. The fact that the album has been well-received and recognized is a beautiful encouragement for those in the profession who patiently believe in the enduring value of creativity," Thanh Lam shared.

The singer expressed her gratitude to composers Nguyen Vinh Tien and Tran Duc Minh, her collaborators who helped her create the layers of emotion in the album.

The diva also paid tribute to the unsung heroes behind the scenes and to the audience who had the patience to listen and stay with her music.

"I see this award as a gentle reminder to keep going, keep loving, keep singing with sincerity and humility," Thanh Lam shared.

The album "The Film" is a project that Thanh Lam and her team have been working on for 3 years. The project was released in March 2025, featuring 12 songs composed by musician Nguyen Vinh Tien over a 10-year period, from 2012 to 2022.

Thanh Lam listened very carefully and changed the songs many times to ensure they fit the overall album, her voice, and her distinctive style.

Besides singing solo on 9 songs, the diva invited three of her favorite singers: Tung Duong ( Ma Non Ung Mam ), Ha Tran ( Hoa Danh Danh ), and Ali Hoang Duong ( Tren Canh Sau Non ).

Fulfilling love, peace after ups and downs and storms… all of this is conveyed by Thanh Lam in the album. The singer sees each song as a train carriage – containing all the joys, sorrows, loves, and hates of her own life.

With her new project, many friends and colleagues have commented that Thanh Lam has undergone a significant change in her music. As her collaborator, musician Nguyen Vinh Tien, put it, "a new Thanh Lam, deeper and more reflective."
