For many years, audiences nationwide have become familiar with Meritorious Artist Tran Tuan Lin - a native of Quang Binh province , and Deputy Head of the Hue Imperial City Opera and Drama Troupe under the Hue Opera and Drama Art Theatre (Thua Thien-Hue Department of Culture and Sports).
Over his 20 years of work, he has successfully portrayed many roles of President Ho Chi Minh , General Nguyen Chi Thanh, and many other historical figures of the country.

Participating in the second season of "The River Tells Stories - The Legendary Journey ," Meritorious Artist Tran Tuan Lin will once again portray the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh (also known as Nguyen Van Ba or Anh Ba) boarding a ship at Nha Rong port to embark on a journey to save the country.
He has played the role of President Ho Chi Minh many times in the musical drama "Ho Chi Minh - Red Memories ," the play "Father, Son and the Fatherland ," "The Waiting Wharf ," or portrayed President Ho Chi Minh in the art program "President Ho Chi Minh's Last Words Before His Departure "... but Meritorious Artist Tran Tuan Lin has a special feeling when participating in this program.
Meritorious Artist Tran Tuan Lin shared: “Having worked in the profession for 20 years, I am fortunate to have portrayed the image of President Ho Chi Minh in various stages, especially the image of young Nguyen Tat Thanh. I have tried my hand at many genres of traditional and contemporary theater, feature films, television dramas, and participated in large and small events... However, this is the first time I have been exposed to the program production method chosen by General Director Le Hai Yen - that is, creating a large-scale outdoor musical, combining elements of cinema, music , and dance, along with modern performance technologies.”
When I received the script, I felt honored and excited, not pressured. I will do my best in my role, working together with my colleagues and the team to bring a successful program honoring the history of struggle, construction, and development of Ho Chi Minh City.”
He added: “I have been following The River Tells Stories since the first season and I find that the program leaves a deep impression not only on audiences in Ho Chi Minh City but also on audiences nationwide. This time, the program is even more meaningful as it is linked to historical events such as Nguyen Tat Thanh's departure to find a way to save the country or other leaders, as well as being connected to the journeys and stages of development of Ho Chi Minh City…”
