Participating in Storytelling River season 2 - Legendary Train , Meritorious Artist Tran Tuan Lin will once again transform into the young man Nguyen Tat Thanh (with the name Nguyen Van Ba or Mr. Ba) boarding a ship leaving Nha Rong port, leaving to find a way to save the country.
Many times he played the role of Uncle Ho in the musical Ho Chi Minh - Red Memories , the plays Father, Son and Fatherland , Waiting Wharf , or played the image of Uncle Ho in the art program Uncle Ho's Advice Before Passing Away ... but Meritorious Artist Tran Tuan Lin had special feelings when participating in the program this time.
Meritorious Artist Tran Tuan Lin shared: “Having worked in the profession for 20 years, I have been fortunate to portray the image of Uncle Ho in various stages, especially the image of the young Nguyen Tat Thanh. I have tried many genres of traditional and contemporary theater, film, television, and participated in large and small events... However, this is the first time I have approached the method of making a program like the way General Director Le Hai Yen chose - that is, making a grand outdoor musical, combining elements of cinema, music and ballet, along with modern performance technology.
When approaching the script, I felt honored and excited, not under much pressure. I will perform my role well, join forces with colleagues and crew to bring a successful program honoring the history of struggle, construction and development of Ho Chi Minh City."
He added: “I have been following The River Tells Stories since the first season and have found that the program has left a deep impression on not only the audience in Ho Chi Minh City but also the audience across the country. This time the program is more meaningful when it is associated with historical events such as Nguyen Tat Thanh's journey to find a way to save the country or other leaders, as well as with the train journeys and the development stages of Ho Chi Minh City...
As a member of the crew, I feel that everyone shares the same desire for the program to be a great success. After all, the important thing is that the audience enjoys a complete, emotional, and impressive program, while at the same time contributing to promoting the beauty of the City and the country to domestic and international tourists."
Within the framework of the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2024, the special art program Storytelling River season 2 with the theme Legendary Train will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on May 31, 2024 at Nha Rong Khanh Hoi Area - Saigon Port.
