On December 26th, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) held a nationwide online conference to implement tasks related to labour, war invalids, and social affairs in 2024. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended and directed the conference. Leaders from relevant departments, agencies, and units also participated in the conference via video link from the provincial level.

It will continue comprehensive reforms and decisively implement breakthroughs in vocational education development to improve the quality of human resources. It will fully and promptly implement social security and welfare policies for people with meritorious services. Attention will be paid to the lives of the poor, those facing difficulties, and those with low incomes. In his directive speech at the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister commended the achievements of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs in 2023; and requested the Ministry to continue improving institutions, developing and implementing laws on labor, invalids and social affairs effectively. He emphasized the importance of developing a comprehensive, modern, and flexible labor market, ensuring synchronization, interconnectedness across multiple levels, sectors, fields, regions, and international integration, effectively connecting and regulating labor supply and demand; encouraging job creation in both the public and private sectors; and encouraging workers to seek and change jobs according to their abilities and aptitudes. He also stressed the need to continue innovating and creating a strong transformation in the quality and effectiveness of vocational education. He called for a focus on training high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the labor market, contributing to increased labor productivity and the competitiveness of the economy.
