NTO - Conference announcing the overall adjustment of the Phan Rang City Construction Planning.

On June 14th, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the overall adjustment of the urban planning of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City, Ninh Thuan province, until 2040 and with a vision to 2050.

Attending the conference were: Comrade Le Van Binh, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Comrade Huynh Tan Hanh, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police; Comrade Chau Thi Thanh Ha, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Phan Rang-Thap Cham City; and Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the conference, Mr. Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented the Decision approving the overall adjustment plan for the general construction planning of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, Ninh Thuan province, until 2040 and with a vision to 2050 to the leaders of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City.

With a strategic vision to develop Phan Rang - Thap Cham into a unique and balanced urban center, the province has set a goal to build Phan Rang - Thap Cham into an ecological, sustainable, smart, livable city with zero net emissions by 2050; a city rich in cultural identity with unique and distinctive values. Phan Rang - Thap Cham is defined as a mixed-use, diverse urban center, with tourism as its driving force, aiming towards a smart city, a tourist city, a coastal city, and a green city; one of the tourism centers of Central Vietnam and the whole country; a regional transportation hub, a center for economic exchange with the Central Highlands and the Central Coast; and becoming a key economic region in the South (of the country) and the Southeast region.

In terms of spatial development structure, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City is divided into 5 major zones with distinct characteristics and functions, including: Heritage urban development area, Coastal urban development area, Central urban development area, Dinh River urban development area, and Connecting urban development area (Thanh Son airport area).

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that adjusting the Master Plan for Phan Rang - Thap Cham City until 2040, with a vision to 2050, is an important task with great significance for the development of the city as well as the entire province. He requested that the city's Party committees, government, and provincial departments and agencies coordinate and focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of the approved plan.

This includes focusing on promoting planning awareness among officials and the general public; organizing planning and land management; especially identifying areas for concentrated investment projects to enhance investment attraction; and reviewing all plans, based on which effective implementation solutions can be developed that are appropriate to the actual situation, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and achieving the set development goals.
