Conference on sharing experiences on electronic medical records

Electronic medical records are one of the strategic goals of national digital health transformation. The Ministry of Health has set a target that by 2023, hospitals of grade one and above must deploy electronic medical records; from 2024-2028, all medical examination and treatment facilities must deploy electronic medical records. For provincial hospitals, since 2021, the Ministry of Health has recognized the use of electronic medical records to replace all paper medical records. All medical examination and treatment data is digitized to ensure consistency, publicity, transparency, minimize errors in the examination and treatment process, and at the same time improve the efficiency of hospital management and operation. In recent times, the hospital has continuously invested in information technology infrastructure to build smart hospitals, improve the quality of medical services, and contribute to the digital transformation of the health sector.

Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented flowers to congratulate the leaders of the Provincial Hospital.

At the conference, representatives of the Provincial Hospital and a number of information technology enterprises reported on 6 topics to share experiences and introduce technology and software serving the construction and implementation of electronic medical records.

Speaking at the conference, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results of digital transformation in general and the implementation of electronic medical records in particular of the Provincial Hospital in recent times. The implementation of electronic medical records is extremely important, not only improving medical examination and treatment services, bringing practical benefits to the people, but also contributing to the digital transformation of the province.

Therefore, the Provincial Hospital needs to identify this as a core, continuous, resolute and persistent task. Particularly for this conference, the Provincial Hospital needs to focus on absorbing the topics, knowledge and experiences shared by the units; on that basis, research, analyze, evaluate and consider appropriate applications to the practical situation at its unit. He hopes that the Ministry of Health will continue to pay more attention and support to the provincial health sector in the field of digital transformation, contributing to helping the province complete the goals of improving people's health.
