Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Petrolimex Gia Lai One-Member Limited Liability Company

Attending the commemoration ceremony on behalf of Gia Lai province were: Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province; Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Vo Thi Thu Hoa – Provincial Party Committee Member, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee; along with representatives from the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province; and representatives from several departments, agencies, and localities of the province.

Representing the Vietnam National Petroleum Group was Mr. Pham Van Thanh – Member of the Executive Committee of the Government Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group.

Representing Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd. were Mr. Pham Ngoc Khuyen – Chairman of the Company; Mr. Bui Nghia Thao – Director of the Company; along with current and former leaders of the Company; leaders of the Company's affiliated units; and outstanding individuals who excelled in the Company's production and business emulation movement.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Pham Ngoc Khuyen – Chairman of Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd. – stated: Fifty years ago, in the context of a newly unified country, Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd. was established and has undergone a process of construction and development. Its predecessor was the Quy Nhon Petrol Station (under the KV5 Petrol Company), renamed Nghia Binh General Petroleum Depot in 1980, Nghia Binh Petroleum Enterprise in 1984, Nghia Binh Petroleum Company in 1991, Binh Dinh Petroleum Company in 2000, and from October 1, 2025 to the present, it has been renamed Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd., with the mission of ensuring national reserve supplies, providing petroleum and petrochemical products in the province, and ensuring supply for the South Central and Central Highlands provinces.

In accordance with the policies of the Party, the State, and the Vietnam National Petroleum Group, after the merger, the company has nearly 700 employees, more than 100 gasoline and petrochemical retail outlets, with a modern and spacious warehouse and port system and facilities, fully meeting the demand for petroleum products in the area under the company's distribution network. With the above advantages, the company has affirmed its position as one of the major petroleum distribution enterprises, always pioneering in modernizing management, applying digital technology, investing in infrastructure, developing clean energy, improving the material and spiritual lives of employees, and is a key enterprise in the energy sector in the Central and Central Highlands regions, ensuring technical and environmental standards, contributing to maintaining stability and serving production, transportation, and tourism.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Khuyen emphasized that the 50th anniversary of the company's founding is not only an occasion to honor the past, but also a moment to affirm faith and open a new chapter – a chapter of innovation, aspiration for progress, and integration into the trend of green, clean, and sustainable development. With the foundation built over the past 50 years and a sense of responsibility for the journey in this new phase, the era of digital transformation, the era of national progress, Petrolimex Gia Lai Company Limited has set the following goals: Comprehensive innovation towards modern, intelligent, safe, and sustainable management; application of digital technology in operational management; diversification of products and market expansion; improvement of service quality; and greater contribution to society, aiming to affirm its core role in ensuring energy security in the region and contributing to the Vietnam National Petroleum Group's efforts to build a more sustainably developed Vietnam in accordance with the Party and State's policies and directions.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented the Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the collective of Petrolimex Gia Lai One-Member Limited Company.

Comrade Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang presented the Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the individuals.

At the ceremony, delegates heard the announcement of the Decision of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province (now Gia Lai province) on awarding the Emulation Flag to Binh Dinh Petroleum Company (now Petrolimex Gia Lai Co., Ltd.) for its outstanding achievements and leading the emulation movement of Emulation Bloc No. 13 – 2024; and the Decision on awarding Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province to one collective and two individuals for their significant contributions to production and business activities, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Company's establishment (1975-2025). On this occasion, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group donated 3 billion VND to the "For the Poor" Fund of Gia Lai province.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang acknowledged, highly appreciated, and commended the important, effective, and responsible achievements and contributions of Petrolimex Gia Lai to the development of the province over the past 50 years.

In the context of Gia Lai province accelerating its progress and actively implementing decisive solutions to develop its socio-economic sector, aiming for double-digit growth as set out in the recent Resolution of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, and with the province also setting goals for economic development, enhancing competitiveness, and attracting investment, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Company to continue building on its achievements and focus on the following important directions:

Firstly, we must continue to improve production and business efficiency, proactively secure supply sources, expand markets, and increase the volume of petroleum products sold; be dynamic and innovative in management methods, and strongly promote digital transformation in operation, monitoring, and business. We must accelerate research and development of clean and green energy, gradually adapting to the global energy transition trend.

Secondly, we must foster a spirit of unity and innovation, build a high-quality workforce, and enhance professional training and management skills. We must cultivate a modern, disciplined, creative, and responsible corporate culture.

Thirdly, continue to fulfill the company's obligations to the State, especially tax obligations and contributions to the State budget, and fully implement policies and regulations for employees, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of workers.

Fourth, continue to work alongside the province in social welfare, actively participate in programs supporting war veterans, policy beneficiary families, the poor, disadvantaged areas, remote areas, etc., demonstrating the responsibility of businesses towards the community.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that Gia Lai province will always stand alongside businesses, working closely with the business community, creating the most favorable conditions to promote investment, production, and business activities with the motto "5 Together": Listening together – Discussing together – Implementing together – Sharing results together – Resolving difficulties together. The province always considers the legitimate interests and success of businesses as its own success and is constantly innovating the management and operational methods of the government, shifting from a "control" mindset to a "service and innovation" mindset, placing the people and businesses at the center of the government's service. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, agencies, and localities to support and accompany businesses to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles in the operation process, quickly and efficiently resolve administrative procedures, and create the most favorable conditions for companies to expand their system, warehouses, stores, and apply modern technology; Supporting businesses in policies related to land, investment, labor, and energy security, ensuring stable, efficient, and safe production and business operations.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang expressed confidence that with its 50-year tradition, along with its spirit of unity, discipline, innovation, and aspiration for development, Petrolimex Gia Lai will continue to affirm its role as a key enterprise, making increasingly important contributions to the socio-economic development of the province, achieving the goal of bringing Gia Lai province into the group of moderately developed provinces in the region, and joining the whole country in entering a new era, an era of strong and prosperous development for the Vietnamese nation.
