
The city will provide market information support to over 500 businesses; support training and consulting for over 300 businesses to enhance their competitiveness and supply capacity, enabling them to gradually participate in global value chains; support over 100 businesses in building capacity to participate in cross-border e-commerce; organize over 150 business networking and trade events with foreign distribution networks; and support at least 80 export products to directly participate in foreign distribution networks.
The Department of Industry and Trade takes the lead in coordinating and regularly updating information on the needs and development trends of the global market and international supply chains to businesses, supporting businesses in improving their research and development capabilities to produce products that meet market needs and distribution network requirements.

Simultaneously, it is necessary to raise awareness among businesses about self-sufficiency in raw materials, reducing dependence on imported raw materials, and proactively developing green and clean raw materials to enhance the value and competitiveness of products in the global value chain; using energy efficiently and effectively, employing resource-saving and energy-efficient production technologies that are environmentally friendly; and promoting businesses to transition towards increasing the use of clean and renewable energy in production.
Encourage businesses to develop supporting industries, processing and manufacturing (especially the agricultural, forestry and fisheries processing industry), link in global supply chains and with distribution corporations; build green and sustainable production lines to meet the increasing demands of international distribution chains.
In coordination with the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), implement programs and activities to improve sales skills in the digital environment and support businesses in accessing cross-border e-commerce platforms. Promote the development of logistics services for exports to distribution systems and networks on cross-border e-commerce platforms.
The Department of Industry and Trade, in coordination with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and relevant units, organizes and participates in programs such as: Vietnam Goods Week at distribution systems in countries like Aeon (Japan); the "Vietnam International Sourcing" series of events; international trade fairs and exhibitions; trade promotion activities, business networking; and welcoming foreign importers and distribution systems.
