Argentinian football has just experienced a shocking case in which female player Florencia Guinazu was murdered by her ex-husband after their divorce. After committing the crime, the husband also committed suicide next to his ex-wife.
This event has left the Argentine Football Association deeply saddened, expressing: "We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to you. Thank you for always defending our colors. We will miss you very much. Dear Flor, we will be with your family and your young children."
The Argentine Football Association expressed its sorrow over the incident.
Specifically, female player Guinazu of Atletico Argentino in the Mendoza League recently passed away, leaving behind a 7-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter.
The female player was found in her home with signs of beatings and strangulation after an autopsy. Police only discovered the incident when neighbors found a note taped to the window and contacted them, saying, "Call 911. The children are alone."

According to Argentinian media, this note was most likely written by her husband after he murdered her. Prior to this incident, Guinazu had divorced her husband and had repeatedly reported his harassment to the police. Her husband was recently arrested and released in November 2023.
Argentine police are currently investigating the case further and have not released any specific information.
