On the morning of May 31st, over 123,000 candidates participated in the Mathematics exam of the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi . At 10:00 AM at the Xuan Dinh High School exam center, the Mathematics exam concluded, and the students simultaneously left the exam site.

Leaving the exam center, candidate Nguyen Thuy Duong (Dong Ngac Secondary School) hugged her mother and burst into tears, sobbing: "Mom, I got 9 points!" She said that this year's exam was easier than she had initially predicted, except for part b.2 of question IV which was a bit tricky. However, Duong managed to stay calm and overcome this difficult question to complete the exam well. The female student predicted she would get 25+ points in total and successfully get into her first choice university.

Listening to her daughter's story, Ms. Ngoc (Nguyen Thuy Duong's parent) was also moved to tears. "Having my daughter achieve her wish is also a source of happiness for me and my family," she expressed.

Many students were visibly emotional after the final exam. Overall, this year's math exam was considered to have a moderate difficulty level, with some questions designed to differentiate candidates or potentially trick them.

Candidate Tran Minh Hieu (Yen Hoa Secondary School) shouted when he saw his father waiting at the gate of Xuan Dinh High School: "I passed the high school entrance exam!" He assessed that the exam questions were relevant to his study focus. Therefore, he felt he performed well and predicted a score above 8 points.

At 10:00 AM, students who had finished their exams began leaving the Phan Huy Chú High School examination center (Lang Ward, Hanoi). Immediately after exiting the exam rooms, they quickly gathered with their friends, engaging in lively discussions about this year's exam questions.

A schoolgirl burst into tears upon seeing her mother. She was sobbing uncontrollably, unable to speak, while her mother continuously hugged and comforted her to soothe her.

Many other candidates also burst into tears as they left the exam venue. Most of them had missed the exam due to the difficult questions.

Tran Bao Minh (a candidate at Phan Huy Chu High School) calmly shared his thoughts on this year's exam with his mother. Minh said that the Math exam had a relatively good level of difficulty. He noted that question II.3 had the potential to mislead students, and question IV.C was quite challenging.
“I had to reread the questions repeatedly to avoid being tricked and losing valuable points. I didn't finish the exam until the bell rang signaling the end. I expect my math score to be around 9.5.”

Witnessing the mixed emotions of their children as they left the exam venue, many parents couldn't hide their anxiety while waiting.
