Practice well on the sports field, the training ground
Present at the training ground of the Center for National Defense-Security Education, Da Lat University, we noticed the active practice of the "square star" female soldiers who were practicing the shooting postures of the AR1. During the training process, the Military Command Board (CHQS) of Ward 15 sent officers to monitor the progress of the training, directly guide and adjust the limited contents, along with the monitoring and supervision of the Da Lat City Customs Department. Therefore, the quality of the training sessions of the Women's Mobile Militia Battalion in Ward 8 has been continuously improved.
As the youngest member of the squad, female militiawoman Pham Thi Thao shared: “Shooting is always the most difficult content in training sessions. However, in the process of training, we were guided by a team of dedicated staff, as well as thoughtfully and timely correcting the exercises to help the team members overcome their limitations and perform the movements correctly, so the training results are getting better and better. Through the last round of live firing, I achieved good results."
After a few rounds of practice, Platoon Commander Tu Hong Uyen Trang gathered the squad, pointed out the shortcomings, unified the aiming point and every movement of the shooting movement for the female militiamen. Comrade Uyen Trang said: “Shooting is a content that takes up a lot of time in the training process, so in order to ensure good quality, we have to practice hard, master our weak points, and move to help stabilize our mentality when shooting real bullets. Overcoming all difficulties, the squad is always determined to get the best results, contributing to improving the training quality of the ward armed forces.
As the "oldest sister" of the squad, militia fighter Bui Thi Ha Tien shared: "I myself am a party member, so I should always be exemplary and positive in all tasks, especially being exemplary in manners and words. I volunteered to join the mobile militia women's squad and have always been proud of my decision. I have studied and trained in military knowledge and skills, better understood the qualities of Uncle Ho's army, the "square star" soldier, the solidarity between the army and the people, which has greatly complemented my current position as Head of the Front Work Department in the neighborhood group.
According to comrade Le Ba Dong, commander of the ward 8, the female militia soldiers are working in many different agencies and doing their own business, so before focusing on training, the ward People's Committee advised the ward People's Committee to direct and create favorable conditions on time, ensuring good regimes and policies. The ward Military Command also did a good job of reviewing and strictly managing the female militia, proactively announcing the training plan early so that the squad members could arrange their work to participate fully. During the training process, there are always staffs of the ward Customs Department to timely support.
According to the training program, officers and soldiers of the mobile militia women's squad have participated in learning and training with the contents of military, team command, political education, etc. During the training process, the ward Military Command always thoroughly understands the need to closely combine military training, political education, between theory and practice, in which, taking practice is the main thing. Through the training, the mobile militia women will improve their political awareness, master basic fighting techniques, and be ready to take on tasks in any situation.
Continue to promote efficiency, research and replicate
Established in March 3, the Mobile Militia Women's Battalion in Ward 2021, Da Lat City is the first mobile female militia squad so far in Lam Dong province. After several times of consolidating the force, the squad now has 8 party members, 2 comrades with university degrees. In addition to participating in training, contests and sports festivals at all levels, the mobile militia women's squads are also active in mass mobilization activities, ensuring social security, propagating the implementation of the Law on Military Service, taking action in youth and women's activities, patriotic emulation movements in the locality, etc.
Assessing the operation of the mobile militia women's squad, Comrade Nguyen Trong Mo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ward 8 said: "The mobile militia women's squad has made positive and effective contributions in many areas of local work, with the focus on contributing to the successful implementation of annual military and defense tasks. Party committees, authorities, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations of the ward always pay attention to ensuring adequate regimes and standards for the militia in general and female militia in particular in accordance with regulations. In particular, the Party Committees, authorities and military agencies regularly encourage the female militia force during the process of training and working, helping female soldiers to be more motivated and actively practice.
In the past time, with the advice of military agencies, the City Party Committee and the People's Committee of Da Lat city, women have always been identified as an important source in building the local militia and self-defense force. Da Lat city has built 60mm Moi female militia batteries, however, the mobile female militia has only built one squad in Ward 8.
Talking to us, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Duc, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Da Lat City Customs Department said: "Many tasks of the mobile militia require health, flexibility and unexpected mobility, but also have tasks suitable for female citizens. In addition, building a female militia is also a requirement in line with the current situation, which has been clearly demonstrated during the recent Covid-19 epidemic. From the effectiveness of the Mobile Women's Militia Battalion in Ward 8, the City Military Police Department has learned from experience and oriented the Military Police Department of the remaining 15 wards and communes of the city to study and identify advantages and specificities to advise on building the most suitable female militia force.
