In Da Nang, a 6th-grade female student from Tran Quang Khai Secondary School was dragged across the concrete floor, kicked, and slapped in the face by three other female students, resulting in a concussion.
According to the victim's mother's report, at 7 PM on April 11th, the girl was at home when a 7th-grade student from the same school came to invite her to play. Her daughter was then taken to a location near Phu Thuong Church (Hoa Son commune, Hoa Vang district) where she was attacked by three female students.
In a video over a minute long provided by parents, the female student is seen being dragged along the concrete by her hair, repeatedly kicked, and slapped in the face by another student. Another student then attempts to strip off her shirt. Afterward, she is left sitting alone in the middle of the road.
The girl's mother said that because her daughter was threatened by her group of friends, she didn't dare tell her family when she got home.
A few days later, the female student coughed up blood, had abdominal pain, nausea, and a swollen head, so her family took her to Da Nang Hospital. Doctors diagnosed her with a "concussion," and she was treated in the Neurosurgery Department and discharged on April 19th.
The family has filed a report with the police, local authorities, and the principal of Tran Quang Khai Secondary School. The victim's mother said her daughter had been beaten many times before, but she didn't have evidence, so she didn't report it.
On April 20th, Mr. Le Van Hoang, Head of the Education and Training Department of Hoa Vang District, stated that three students involved in the incident have been identified. One is a 7th-grade student, and the other two (one in 8th grade) had stopped attending school a month prior.
According to the student who filmed the video, the fight broke out because the victim had been badmouthing an 8th-grade female student.
Mr. Hoang said that the police have been working with the students involved to verify the information. The victim's health and mental state have stabilized.

Incidents of female students fighting have been occurring frequently in recent weeks. In early April, in Ho Chi Minh City, a female student at Tan Phu Secondary School was attacked by 3-4 classmates who grabbed her hair, punched, slapped, and kicked her in the body and face for nearly 10 minutes, despite her kneeling and begging for mercy.
Meanwhile, in Quang Binh province, last weekend, a 7th-grade female student in Quang Trach district was attacked and stripped of her clothes by two classmates, requiring hospitalization in a state of panic. Most of the students who witnessed the incident did not intervene; some even laughed and filmed the event with their phones.
For many years, the education sector has maintained three forms of punishment for these students: warnings, reprimands, and temporary suspension from school (up to one year). However, most schools only suspend them for 1-3 weeks.
