Residents of Hoanh Bo ward are trying to deal with the flooding situation, preventing mud and debris from entering their homes.

The flooding occurred during rush hour, affecting traffic and disrupting people's lives.

By around 8:30 AM, the rain had stopped, and the water on the roads began to recede. According to information from local authorities, at this time, there is virtually no more localized flooding.

Rising water levels have caused flooding in many homes in Mong Duong ward.
Authorities have set up barriers and are controlling the movement of people and vehicles through flooded areas, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.

Given the complex weather developments, communes, wards, and special zones in Quang Ninh province have directed functional forces to be on standby at areas experiencing heavy rainfall and flooding, ready to assist people in relocating their belongings; and to implement measures to clear waterways and drain water to minimize damage caused by heavy rain and flooding.

Officials and functional forces of Cam Pha ward were present in areas flooded due to heavy rain, assisting people in relocating themselves, their belongings, and property, and trying to minimize damage caused by heavy rain and flooding.

In addition, local authorities also requested households to proactively cooperate with relevant agencies in implementing flood prevention and control measures; actively cooperate in clearing drainage ditches and canals; and work with public utility units to collect waste, preventing garbage from clogging water inlets and drains, thereby contributing to reducing flooding in the area.

According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms may continue from now until the night of May 20th; rainfall will generally range from 40-80mm, with some areas receiving over 250mm. The meteorological agency warns of the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, flash floods, and landslides in mountainous regions.
