Making cultural and healthcare institutions operate more effectively.

Continuing to monitor the operation of newly established libraries, community cultural centers, community health care centers, and elderly health care centers based on the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee's policy on arranging and utilizing surplus public assets and offices after the implementation of the two-tiered local government system, on the afternoon of May 25th, Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected two model centers in Dong Hy commune.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the operational situation at the Community Health Care Center and the Elderly Health Center in Dong Hy commune.

Following the administrative reorganization and the implementation of a two-tiered local government system, although Dong Hy commune did not have any surplus offices, in accordance with the province's policy, the commune quickly reviewed, developed a plan, and established a Community Health and Elderly Health Center at the central location of the commune's Health Station. Since its operation began, the Center has provided consultations to 140 elderly people and conducted health check-ups for nearly 300 people.

The library and community cultural center were established and located in the public administration area of ​​the former Hoa Thuong town; the library has 2,000 books and over 300 titles of various genres.

Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited the Library and Community Cultural Center of Dong Hy commune.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the attention given by the Party Committee and the government of Dong Hy commune to organizing and maintaining activities at the two centers effectively and regularly. He requested the locality, together with the Health sector, to research and allocate resources to purchase medical machinery and equipment to improve the quality of primary healthcare.

The Dong Hy commune library has a full range of books and computers to serve the reading needs of the local people.

Regarding the library, the commune needs to strengthen social mobilization efforts to supplement the book collection; encourage the participation of various organizations in management; and establish and maintain the effective operation of cultural, artistic, and sports clubs so that the community cultural center becomes increasingly effective.
