Stabilizing the labor market during Tet

In 2024, businesses in the province will continue to face many difficulties. With a fairly large openness, Vinh Phuc's economy in general and the business system in the province in particular are increasingly deeply and strongly affected by the world economic and political situation. However, businesses in the province are still trying to find new orders, taking advantage of each old order to maintain production and business, ensuring jobs for workers, especially near the Lunar New Year.

In January 2024, the labor market in the province was stable, the labor utilization index of industrial enterprises increased by 3.80% compared to the previous month, up 6.82% compared to the same period in 2023. Most enterprises still ensure stable jobs for workers; new jobs have been created for more than 1,000 workers.

Currently, there are an estimated 8,236 enterprises operating in the province, employing 261,590 workers (1,225 workers working in state-owned enterprises; 98,100 workers working in non-state enterprises; 162,265 workers working in foreign-invested enterprises).

Of these, 402 enterprises are headquartered in industrial parks, employing 132,913 workers (accounting for 50.8% of the total number of employees of enterprises in the province). Untrained workers account for about 43%; more than 76% of enterprises employ less than 10 workers.
