In today's society, families face many difficulties and challenges. A pragmatic, selfish lifestyle that prioritizes individual freedom strongly impacts traditional values and the positive lifestyles of many families.
Many family moral values are eroding and showing signs of degradation, domestic violence is becoming increasingly complex, the generation gap is widening, relationships between family members are becoming increasingly strained, and social evils are at risk of infiltrating families.
To ensure that the family becomes a peaceful and happy haven for each individual, a place to maintain the traditional cultural identity of the nation, various levels of government, sectors, and localities have implemented many solutions to build families according to the criteria of prosperity, equality, progress, and happiness.
To date, 100% of the Steering Committees for Family Affairs in districts, cities, and communes, wards, and towns throughout the province have been restructured, maintained, and are effectively operating.
The dissemination of laws on marriage and family, moral education, lifestyle education within families, and skills in identifying, intervening, counseling, and mediating domestic violence cases are implemented through various forms such as visual propaganda using banners, posters, and leaflets; displaying paintings and photographs about building happy families and preventing and combating domestic violence; and disseminating information through mass media...
Through awareness-raising activities, we aim to enhance the understanding and responsibility of all levels, sectors, organizations, individuals, and families regarding the role and importance of the family and the prevention and control of domestic violence in the new context. This will lead to practical actions in preventing and combating domestic violence and preventing social evils from infiltrating families.
To spread the message "Building happy families, a prosperous nation," every year, departments, localities, and units in the province organize many activities in response to International Happiness Day (March 20), Vietnamese Family Day (June 28), the National Action Month for the Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, the World Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls (November 25), and the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence.
In 2024, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a thematic conference on "Building Happy Families, a Prosperous Nation"; launched the "Warm and Loving Family Meal" campaign; coordinated with the Provincial Women's Union to organize a seminar on "Building Happy Families" and commended outstanding examples, awarding prizes for the "Moments of Loving Family" photo contest; organized a festival of exemplary Sustainable Family Development Clubs and Domestic Violence Prevention Groups; and organized a thematic conference on identifying, detecting, and speaking out against domestic violence.
The Provincial Federation of Labor Unions organized a thematic conference on "Building Happy Families in the 4.0 Era," with the participation of 400 trade union officials from all levels.
The Provincial Police Department organized a writing contest titled "For a Peaceful Home." The Provincial Veterans Association launched a movement to build "Culturally Advanced Veteran Families."
The Provincial Women's Union is implementing the campaign "Building families with 5 no's and 3 clean's" and "5 yes's and 3 clean's" families, linked to preserving good values and developing the Vietnamese family value system.
Currently, the province maintains 350 Sustainable Family Development Clubs and Domestic Violence Prevention and Control Groups, 876 trusted addresses, and 450 hotlines to intervene and support victims of domestic violence.
Intervention models for preventing and combating domestic violence have practical effects, helping people raise awareness of the role and position of the family, effectively implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, the Law on Gender Equality, and acquire knowledge and skills for family-based interactions, and promptly mediate domestic violence cases at the grassroots level.
With the synchronized implementation of various solutions to build happy families, the quality of life for each family is increasingly improved both materially and spiritually, making an important contribution to political stability and social order and security. In 2024, 95% of families in the province achieved the title of "Culturally Advanced Family".
To continue building happy families, which are the healthy building blocks of society, the province needs to further promote and diversify activities to disseminate and educate on moral values and lifestyles within families.
Strengthen inter-sectoral coordination in implementing tasks related to family affairs and preventing and combating domestic violence; pay attention to training and improving the professional skills of family affairs officials at all levels in preventing and combating domestic violence; maintain, expand, and improve the quality and effectiveness of domestic violence prevention and control models.
Organizing activities to honor outstanding exemplary families, competitions, performances, thematic talks, etc., aims to highlight the responsibility of leaders at all levels, in all sectors, and in all social organizations and families in caring for and building prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy families.
