On the afternoon of May 25th, the Kanchanaburi Power club's website announced their new head coach, Park Hang-seo. The contract signing with the South Korean strategist actually took place a few days prior, but the team only officially shared the information with the public now.

Kanchanaburi Power Football Club announced head coach Park Hang-seo and his coaching staff, which includes assistant coach Lee Jung-soo.

Park Hang-seo will lead Kanchanaburi Power on a two-year contract, with his salary undisclosed.

Due to his commitments with the South Korean national team for the 2026 World Cup, Park Hang-seo (currently the Vice President of the Korean Football Association) will not officially take on the job until the end of July. Until then, his assistant, Lee Jung-soo, will temporarily manage the team in his place.

On their homepage, Kanchanaburi Power Football Club wrote: “Modern football is measured not only by reputation, but also by belief, dedication, and human development. Today, the club is pleased to introduce our head coach and assistant head coach – individuals who are ready to work alongside us to build discipline, establish standards, and develop new players. Mr. Park Hang-seo, former head coach of the Vietnam national team, will officially lead the team.”

Coach Park Hang-seo led the Vietnamese national team and the U22/U23 teams from 2017 to 2023. He contributed to the U22 team winning two SEA Games gold medals; the U23 team finishing as runners-up in the U23 Asian Championship; and the Vietnamese national team winning the AFF Cup… With Bac Ninh club, Park Hang-seo still has a contract remaining as a senior advisor.
