According to The Guardian , when the large screens at Arthur Ashe Stadium showed Trump saluting during the national anthem before the match, a round of applause erupted but was quickly drowned out by boos.

The US President then responded with a fleeting smile. After Trump's image reappeared on the big screen, the booing from the audience intensified. Despite this, Trump remained calm and continued watching the game from the VIP area, alongside government officials and family.

The US President arrived at the stadium more than an hour before the match between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner began. His presence also caused considerable disruption.
