Running car on fire

Dong Thap: A car running on National Highway 30 through Binh Hang Trung Commune, Cao Lanh District caught fire, the driver escaped in time, February 9 (New Year's Eve).

At around 11am, Mr. Tran Van Den, residing in Cai Nuoc district, Ca Mau, was driving his car across Cai Beo bridge, Binh Hang Trung commune when he discovered smoke coming from the cabin of his car. The driver managed to get out.

Nearby police used fire extinguishers to put out the fire. Locals covered the front of the car with a large sheet of cloth in an attempt to prevent the fire from spreading, but to no avail.

The fire then flared up fiercely, and was only extinguished when fire trucks arrived. The fire caused a short traffic jam on Highway 30.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
