Since the beginning of the year, PC Dak Nong has organized many campaigns to promote safe electricity use for people and production facilities. The company has coordinated with relevant agencies to inspect electricity use at motels, small businesses and production facilities.
Through inspections, PC Dak Nong promptly reminds individuals and organizations to overcome shortcomings and ensure electrical safety, thereby helping to minimize the risk of fire and explosion caused by electricity.
Ms. Phan Thi Hai Vy, a landlord in Kien Duc town (Dak Rlap) shared: “My family has 20 rooms for rent. Electricity officials have come to the place to propagate about safe electricity use. I have also informed the tenants to regularly check and maintain electrical equipment, especially when using electricity for cooking. When I go out, I always remember to turn off the circuit breaker to ensure electrical safety.”
Recently, the affiliated power companies have implemented the program “Going to every alley, knocking on every door”, to propagate and guide people on how to use electricity safely. This activity has contributed to building awareness and improving knowledge about fire prevention, as well as electrical accidents for the community.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Van, a resident of Village 4, Quang Tam Commune (Tuy Duc) said that his house is made of wood and was built a long time ago. He is always worried about the risk of electrical fires.
After being informed by the electricity staff, his family learned more about the risks of fire and explosion and took more proactive measures to ensure safety, such as installing additional circuit breakers to protect the electrical system and regularly checking the electrical lines in the house.
To make propaganda work more effective, PC Dak Nong has regularly informed and advised people about electrical safety measures through mass media and social networks. These efforts aim to help people easily access necessary information.
Currently, Dak Nong province is under the influence of a tropical depression, causing heavy rain. Therefore, PC Dak Nong recommends people to take measures to ensure electrical safety.
Specifically, the company instructs to turn off the power (turn off the circuit breaker) in case the residential area is flooded or when electrical equipment is wet.
The unit also called on people to install power lines, sockets and electrical equipment in their homes above flood level. At the same time, install switching and cutting devices with anti-electric leakage features.
People should cut off all power supply to outdoor equipment such as signs and advertisements when it rains heavily or is windy. People should also promptly notify the electricity industry and local authorities when they detect unsafe power supply.
PC Dak Nong hopes that people will raise awareness in preventing electrical safety risks, contributing to ensuring safe and continuous electricity supply, serving the production, business and life needs of the community.
